Banksy

Banksy is Britain's most celebrated graffiti artist. Originally from Bristol, his stencils have become popular throughout the world. His subversive images can be seen daubed on walls and bridges throughout London. and many other locations around the world. Amazing prices for Banksy work at Sotheby's auction house shows just how popular and sought after his work has become.

On the 21st May 2007 Banksy gained the award for Art's Greatest living Briton, Banksy as expected did not turn up to collect his award and continued with his notoriously anonymous status.
